Folded Pen Adventures with Carol DuBosch

TWO ONLINE WORKSHOP SESSIONS

Participants in this workshop will learn a distinctive, modern script using a folded pen. Several lettering variations as well as layout and practical applications will also be explored. Taught by full-time calligraphy instructor Carol DuBosch, these sessions are appropriate for beginners as well as more experienced calligraphers. Join us as we refine our expressive lettering skills and experience the flexibility and fun of the Ruling Pen!  

INSTRUCTOR CAROL DUBOSCH has taught workshops throughout the country and at many International Calligraphy Conferences. A full-time calligraphy instructor in Portland, Oregon, she first encountered the edged pen and the Italic script at the age of twelve, and has followed the inky path faithfully ever since. Carol continues to explore new scripts, techniques, and art materials and is devoted to ever-refining her own calligraphy skills. She is committed to the teaching, promoting, and practice of the art of calligraphy and always discovers delightful surprises along the way. Carol served as the director of the 1987 and 1991 International Calligraphy Conferences held in Portland, Oregon and also co-directed Calligraphy Northwest in 2012.
