Nina Tran: Two-Day Copperplate Bootcamp

Saturday and Sunday, October 7 - 8

This bootcamp provides students with a basic understanding of the pointed pen's distinctive features and the mechanism of how the pointed pen works. Instructor Nina Tran assures us that with these fundamentals in place, we can learn how to control the pen and unlock the mysteries of Copperplate lettering. 
In this 2-day workshop, students are taught a standard Copperplate script based on the Zanerian Manual.  Saturday [Day 1] will focus on pointed pen basics and construction of Copperplate minuscules through a sequence of drill-based exercises (bootcamp style). Our aim is not simply to learn how to write each letter stroke-by-stroke, but how to join and space them in a rhythmic and uniform manner. 

Sunday [Day 2] will be devoted to learning the Copperplate majuscules and will also feature other 'bells and whistles' that will give your script a masterful edge.
